Social Connection

Most couples already quiz together. They just call it something else.

Shouting at The Chase. Arguing over a crossword clue. Teaming up at the pub on a Tuesday. It's all the same thing ‘ two people, one set of questions, a quiet competition nobody admits is competitive.

This is that, in 10 questions.

No Googling. No phones. Just you, your other half, and a pen if you can find one.

How to Score It

Out of 10:

  • 9–10: One of you is dangerous at a pub quiz. The other one married well.

  • 7–8: Strong. You're the couple people want on their team.

  • 5–6: Average. Right where most pairs land.

  • 3–4: Honest result. Plenty to argue about on the way home.

  • 0–2: At least you have each other.

Most couples score around 6. If you beat that together, you're above average.

Why a Couple's Quiz Actually Works

Quizzing together hits something most "at home" activities don't.

It's competitive without being mean. It's collaborative without being forced. It's mentally engaging without feeling like effort. And it doesn´t have to be too long, because who wants to focus for ages after dinner.

It also creates the kind of conversation you can't fake.

"How did you know that?" "I definitely told you that before." "There's no way you guessed that."

That's the bit you can't replicate by watching telly side by side.

The Problem With Most Couple's Quizzes

The issue isn't the quiz. It's the consistency.

Most couples might do a pub quiz once a week. Watch Pointless a few nights. Maybe a crossword on a Sunday. It's fun, but it doesn't build into anything. There's no daily habit, no tracking, no sense of who's actually getting better.

You finish the night, and that's it until next time.

From Pub Quizzes to a Daily Couple's Habit

That gap is the reason Quizified exists.

Quizified started with two UEA graduates who used to spend Sunday nights at the pub quiz, then represented the university in the Millennium Quiz Final at the Oxford Union. Nearly thirty years on, the same competitive dynamic still runs at home. One side dominates sport. The other rules history and literature. Same arguments, different sofa.

Quizified, recently featured in the Norwich Evening News, turns that into a daily routine. 10 questions a day. 10 categories. One simple scoreboard. The kind of thing you can do over a coffee or before bed without it taking over your evening.

Turn the Couple's Quiz Above Into a Week

If you enjoyed playing the 10 questions above, try this for a week:

  • Monday: General knowledge round

  • Tuesday: Sport vs history showdown

  • Wednesday: Music and entertainment

  • Thursday: Geography and nature

  • Friday: Mixed bag

  • Saturday: Replay your worst category

  • Sunday: Tally up the week. Loser buys dinner.

It takes less than 10 minutes a day. By Friday it stops being a quiz and starts being a thing you do.

Or Let Quizified Run It For You

Making your own quiz every day is hard work. That's the bit Quizified takes off your hands.

You get a fresh 10-question challenge every day, across 10 categories so neither of you can hide in your strong subject. Your scores are tracked, so the leaderboard between you settles itself. It's free, it takes about 4 minutes, and it's built around exactly how couples already enjoy quizzing - just consistently.

10 questions. 4 minutes. Every day.
